hey everybody, my name's Chris and i'm new to drawing. I was hoping to get some advice off people on how to draw or which book anyone could recommend to start drawing?
I'm hoping to draw comic book styles one day, maybe even my own comic book but I need a starting point so anyone with feedback would be appreciated.
cheers
Chris

Hey, Chris! Its been a while since I checked in on these forums because when I first came to this site there were only seven of us or so and they weren't visited very often by anyone. So hopefully you haven't given up on an answer...
My best recommendation for the aspiring comic artist (or enthusiast even) would be "Making Comics" by Scott McCloud. Its written as a comic book and by one of the leading names in comics. Its my favorite book about the genre. Its paperback... pretty reasonably priced. One of the best things about it is that in between the chapters Mr. McCloud poses a number of possible excercises dealing with the topics he discusses through the book. Check it out! :)
